Since november 2020, one of the well-known hotel branches in Indonesia, Santika Indonesia Hotel and Resort, has installed solar panels of 318.5 kWp, as a form of commitment from the hotel in implementing environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) practices. Through the installation of this Rooftop PLTS, Hotel Santika Premiere Palembang Airport is able to save 448,893 kWh of energy every year and contribute to reducing CO2 emissions by 419,266 kg. The amount of CO2 is equivalent to the amount resulting from consuming 117,173 liters of gasoline or needing to plant 5,260 trees to absorb the CO2.
